PRECAUTIONS FOR FIDUCIABABY CARRIER USE
Before building and utilizing the carrier, carefully read all instructions. Use this carrier only for infants weighing between 7 lbs (3.2 kg) and 45 lbs (20kg). Additionally, carriers should not be used with infants weighing less than 7 pounds (3.2 kg) or standing shorter than 20 inches (50.8 cm). BABY MUST FACE DIRECTLY AT YOU IF THEY CAN HOLD THEIR HEAD UPRIGHT. In the Fiduciababy carrier, never leave the child unattended. When balance or movement are compromised due to physical activity, sleepiness, or medical issues, never use a soft carrier. Never use a soft carrier when performing tasks like cooking or cleaning that require heat or chemical exposure. Never operate a motor vehicle or ride as a passenger while wearing a soft carrier. Drink hot beverages with caution to prevent spilling them on the infant when using the carrier. Never take the infant out of the carrier while the waist belt is unbuckled. Be mindful that the baby may tumble out of the carrier as they become more active. One child may only be transported at a time in the carrier. At no point should you use or wear more than one carrier. Because doing so will obstruct the baby's airway, the chin should never rest on the chest of the infant. Before the baby chin, there should always be at least two finger widths of space. At ALL TIMES, the wearer MUST ensure that the infant's airways are clear and that the baby is breathing regularly. Newborns under 4 months old and premature infants with respiratory issues are more likely to suffocate. Make sure the baby is positioned correctly in the product, paying particular attention to where the legs are placed. Regular checks should be made to the baby's position to ensure that it is centered in the carrier, with the legs open and the head upright and not slouching to one side or the other. Until your infant can control their neck and head consistently, they should be supported with a neck cushion. While the baby is in the carrier, the arms, legs, and feet need to be regularly checked to make sure the carrier is not squeezing them. It is advised not to use a carrier for 30 minutes after nursing or bottle feeding in order to prevent abdominal compression and to aid in digestion and absorption. The infant should be able to move his head in the carrier when it is worn.
The infant should be able to move his head in the carrier without forcing his face on your body. Please make sure the Hood does not totally enclose the baby's face when using it, and keep an eye on your child at all times.
Make sure there is sufficient room for air to pass. Make sure the baby's finger is not snagged in the buckle opening or gap as this could harm the child. When the carrier isn't in use, always secure the buckles. Check the carrier frequently for wear and damage. Never use a carrier if the buckle or fabric fastening is damaged.
Before each usage, inspect the item for split seams, torn straps or materials, and broken fasteners. While in use, check straps and buckles frequently to ensure correct positioning and tension. Use only when the baby has consistently shown strong and reliable head and neck control in the front outward-facing, back, and hip carry positions. Don't change postures while the infant is in the carrier. Before shifting the carrier's position, remove the infant from it. Learn to put the baby in the carrier over a bed or other soft surface with the help of another adult to prevent damage. Wear and remove the carrier as close to a secure receiving area as you can. Take extra precautions when a newborn is carried in the back position.
For smaller babies or adult with long torso, wear the carrier waist belt higher up in the body so that baby head is close enough to kiss when using the front carrying position. The carrier should not be use unless and until the wearer understand the instruction and safety features and is confident and comfortable with respect to the use of the carrier. The carrier is only intended for use by healthy adults. As a general rule an individual in good health should be able to carry 20% of their body weight in a traditional backpack design.
If the individual using this carrier should experience shoulder, back, or neck issues, stop using it and seek medical advice from a certified physician. If the infant shows signs of pain while being carried for a while, stop using the carrier until the baby can be held comfortably. In this carrier, the child might get too warm. Please make sure the child is dressed in the appropriate material. Touch the child's body to check their body temperature.
Every infant develops differently, thus the reference to age by month is just meant to be a basic guideline. Please confirm that your child satisfies the use requirements before use. If you require extra assistance, speak with a customer service representative at Fiduciababy.
